The iTEP Academic catalog is here to provide English teachers with secure and accurate exams to make sure that students can reach their full potential. iTEP features data mapping, home self-diagnostic tests, matriculation services, and more. These services give English programs access to a valuable toolkit to measure students’ progress and evaluate ways to construct improved outcome objectives.
We will help you choose the iTEP test most appropriate for your needs and ensure you are prepared as you decide to make the switch from other tests or start testing for the first time. Our tests provide detailed score reports with individual assessment for linguistic sub-skills, all aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) range. iTEP tests are available anywhere, 24/7 with scores returned within 24 hours. The family of iTEP tests is vast, comprehensive and offers customized content for secondary and post-secondary level institutions.
Individuals applying to colleges or universities must take iTEP Academic via the iTEP online testing service, or at a certified Test Center. Educational institutions such as Intensive English Programs (IEPs) often license iTEP Academic for use on their campuses. The iTEP Placement exams can be administered on-site or remotely.
iTEP Academic test results for college and university admissions are valid for two years from the test date.

The test will determine an overall proficiency level from 0 (Beginner) to 6 (Mastery), as well as individual proficiency levels from 0 to 6 for each of the skills and sub-skills tested. The overall scores average the results of the skill sections, and for greater accuracy, they are expressed to one decimal point.
